In the wide music world, there is an elf. What her colorful timbres spun out, is the infinite fantastic melody, the clear paean passes through the full moon sky.
The elf’s name is Akiko Shikata.

The first I met her, was when I saw the jacket of “RAKA” at a blog. In the deep night, there is a round, bright moon. Under that was a long way toward Holy Land, which many high pillars stands by. There the elf is praying (and that is true that the white gossamer, which hanging on Shikata’s arms, looks like an elf’s wings).
As soon as I saw this jacket, I wondered that what kind of music in the album should be.
Therefore, I listened to “RAKA.”
Therefore, I came to love the composer which name is Akiko Shikata.

～Profound～
Year 2001　“緑の森で眠ル鳥 (The Bird Sleeping in Deep Forest)”
It is her first mini-album, which released by her own expense. In the album, we can find out the feeling that different from usual POP-style. We can find out her strong self-style even at her present works. In other words, we cannot find other such folk-style except from Shikata’s OWN works; of course, her classic style is the same. Such wonder we can feel clearer especially in the way of her arrangement. Moreover, her voice sounds very quartz-like, the album became very popular after it released.
I like “Notte” best in this mini-album. The using of Italian made the song more beautiful; the using of drums and other decorating tones got the same effect too. I also like its hurry rhythm. “サクリファイス(Sacrifice)” is good too; and I like the voice harmony very much.

～Transparent～
Year 2002　“Petit Fours” and all other Music Box CD Series
So far, there are three CDs in the series: “Petit Fours” (2002), “VIRIDIAN” (2004), and “Wisteria” (2005).
The music box made CD is very rare. The CDs’ tracks also can be seen as Shikata’s compose original material. Many pieces from them were recomposed to songs. For instance, “西風の贈り物 (Gift from Zephyr),” “Notte (Night),” “花帰葬 (Flowers Burying),” etc. These tracks are very lovely, no matter whether they have been recomposed to songs.
People sometimes will get a music box as present, to give other happiness. Only if music box’s sound is flowing, blessing will fill your heart.

～Splendid～
Year 2003　“廃墟と楽園 (Ruins And Heaven)”
It is another CD that released by her own expense. This album sounds very splendid because many songs used Italian. The song that has the same name with this album, “廃墟と楽園 (Ruins And Heaven),” made a good mark of maintaining the First on MUZIE for 24 months. What a good job she did! These songs or their softness gave me such an image: bright sunshine is dancing everywhere in an early spring blue sky.
Of all songs in this album, I like “MARE (Italian, it means Sea)” best. Here I will repeat what I have said: its harmony is beautiful. What the strongest impression is the overlapping voice of whole harmony, which sounds as if waves surging. What is more, the swaying melody effect is like sea waves too, and they gushing in listeners’ hearts. Such feeling reminded me a sense of nature.

～Mysterious～
Year 2005　“Navigatoria”
Although it is her “debut” album, we all know that it is not her real “debut.” Compare to last “Ruins And Heaven,” it is more mysterious. This time what my impression of it is, in the silent night sky, in the middle of forest, on the surface of wide sea, shadows are swaying. In my opinion, I do not think this album is better than “Ruins,” even though that some songs are beautiful if listening to them one by one. Why I think so may be that, there is not a single “topic” through all songs.
What I like are:
“Navigatoria,” liking its delicate and dim atmosphere;
“睡恋 (Sleeping Love; something more, the pronouncing of title in Japanese is ’Suiren,’ which also means the ‘water lily’),” liking Shikata’s voice color;
“西風の贈り物 (Gift from Zephyr) ,” liking its Italian style;
“花帰葬 (Flowers Burying) ,” liking its lyrics and arrangement;
“Makeda ~ Queen of Sheba ~,” I especially like its foreign feeling!

～Colorful～
Year 2006　“RAKA”
That was our meet. When I heard the entire album, I only described it just by “colorful.”
That is real. The word “colorful” must be the best word to describe “RAKA.” Because of its colorful songs, even though you maybe have heard it many times, you will not loss your interest in another time of listening. I say like that because of my real experience. I ever listened to it all the day. (laugh)
I do not have any favored song. I mean, I love all songs in the album.
Here I cannot say too much about it, so I will only talk some of them simply.
　“金環蝕 (Annular Eclipse),” it has a strong power of life;
　 “春告げ～Raggi di primavera (Spring Informing),” it is another Italian style song, and it listens very blessing!
　 “まほろば (Good Place),” it is a East style song. Its arrangement can give listener a nice spirit.
　 “蒼碧の森 (The Dark Green Forest),” it is a silent song, which can make listener fell ease.
　 “祈り～モンラム～ (Pray),” a Tibet style song, and Shikata sang is in Tibet language too. TIBET language…even its lyrics also printed in Tibet language… Ah~ Shikata~ how you wonderful are;
　 “うたかたの花 (Flower of Bubble),” here I got a feeling that is like “花帰葬”;
　 “晴れすぎた空の下で (Under Such A Shining Sky),” this song is filled with thick sense of folk song. I want to praise once and once again! The violin and other string instruments, which used in arrangement is so marvelous!
　 “AVE MARIA” F. Schubert’s famous song, I will not waste words here;
　 “謳う丘 -EXEC_HARVESTASYA/.- (The Eulogizing Ridge) ,” finally, the creating language that used in a game has come to apparent. And, that is the widely said song, in which mixed about 150 tracks. Look! That is 150 tracks. 150!!! A very extraordinary force is born in this song!
That is what “RAKA” is like. Certainly, the word “colorful” is fit for its describing.
Colorful, umm, “RAKA” is very colorful.

～Shaking～
Year 2006 & 2007　PS2 game “アルトネリコ (Ar Tonelico)” theme song, etc.
You can pass the game, but you cannot pass the four CDs from it; that is very regret. At least, you should listen to all the songs whose singer is Shikata (So I am such a person).
Here I want to refer two songs of them:
「EXEC_CHRONICLE_KEY/.」　(January 25, 2006; from “星詠～ホシヨミ [Star’s Poem]”)
「EXEC_with.METHOD_METAFALICA/.」　(October 23, 2007; from “焔～ホムラ [Flame]”)
I will not write any more about them (for I have got tired). What you should do is, listening to them silently, so that you will know what is called “shaking,” definitely.

“The colorful songs weaved via multiple recording, of the statelessness healing songstress.”
Akiko Shikata. Infinite feeling is flowing out of your songs, and your songs are elf’s melody. Only the free melody is flying in your music kingdom, only your fantasies can spell the decorated harmony. Your songs are the holy, eternal pieces, which fly through the full moon night, and towards the blessing fiesta.

広がる音楽の世界に、ひとりの精霊がいる。彼女の七色の音色が紡ぎ出すのは、無限に伸びる幻想的な旋律、満月の夜に生まれ澄み渡る讃え。
この精霊の名前は、志方あきこ。

最初の出会いはあるブログで、『RAKA』のジャケットを見ていたこと。深い夜空に、一輪のまん丸の満月が明るく照らし、下は長く伸びていた聖地への道、両方は隊列になった高い柱。精霊はそこで祈った（志方さんの服装に纏い伸びた白い薄紗(ﾊｸｻ)は、確かに精霊の翅の様だった）。
このジャケットを見たとたんに、「こんな美しい境地の中に、どんな音楽があるのか？」と、私は想った。
そして、私は『RAKA』を聞いた。
そして、私は志方あきこという音楽家に恋しくなった。

～深遠なる～
2001年　『緑の森で眠ル鳥』
自費出版の最初のミニアルバム。普通の流行歌とは違う味わいがある。そのアルバムからのとても強くて濃すぎる個人風は、今の音楽にでも聞き分かれるの。もっと詳しく言えば、志方あきこの音楽の中に流れ出すのは、彼女ならではの民族スタイル。また、彼女ならではのクラシック風の旋律。編曲上に特に素晴らしく見える。歌声のほうも透明感が十分だったし。このアルバムが発売した後で、人気が大きくなった。
アルバム中、私の一番好きなのは「Notte」である。イタリア語の使いはこの歌をより素晴らしくさせた。鼓や他の飾り音も歌を豊かにさせた。それで、私はこんな急ぎリズムが好き。
「サクリファイス」もすごい。特には和声の分が何よりだと想うの。

～透明なる～
2002年　『Petit Fours』および全てのオルゴールCD
今まで共に三枚のCDが出てきた。『Petit Fours』（2002年）と『VIRIDIAN』（2004年）と『Wisteria』（2005年）。
オルゴールの音色で全曲を創り出すアルバムはめったに無いね。このオルゴールシリーズには、志方あきこの音楽素材とも見える。中にたくさんの断片も後の名曲になった。たとえば、「西風の贈り物」や、「Notte」や、「花帰葬」など。もちろん歌に作りかえらない曲も同じく美しくて可愛い。
オルゴールはよくプレゼントにして人々に幸せな思いを上げる。透明な音は流れる以上、あなたの心は幸せ満ちられているのだろう。

～華麗なる～
2003年　『廃墟と楽園』
また自費出版のアルバム。よほどのイタリア語で歌う曲があるゆえ、このアルバムがとても華麗そのものである。それに同名収録曲「廃墟と楽園」が、MUZIEにて24ヶ月連続1位を獲得し続ける。さすがすごいでね。アルバム全体、つまり、いろんな歌に揺らぐ柔らかさが私にくれた感覚は、早春の淡き青空に照らす陽光、というものである。
このアルバムの中、一番の気になる曲は「MARE」（イタリア語、「海」の意味である）。また先の話を繰り返しよう、和声がすごい。海というタイトルを相応しようとする重なる声の波が、一番印象的な部分である。況してそのゆらりとの旋律は、まるで海の波のようだ人の心に涌き回す。それは私にとって、一番自然的な感覚である。

～神秘なる～
2005年　『Navigatoria』
デビューのアルバムと呼ばれるけれども。志方あきこの実力はずいぶん強かったものよ。前の作品に引き換え今度の曲たちはより神秘な感覚がある。全体の印象は、静まる夜空、深い森の奥、広い海の上、揺らす影。それで何だか、私は全体に見ると、このアルバムは「廃墟」ほどの素晴らしくないと想う。でも、曲々バラに見れば、ほとんどの歌も大好きなの。たぶん、このアルバムがそんなに素晴らしくないと、私に思わせるのは、歌ごとに一つの繋ぎがないと言う事かもしれない。
より好きなのは：
「Navigatoria」（歌の作り出した気分が好き）、
「睡恋」（志方さんの音色が好き）、
「西風の贈り物」（イタリア風が好き）、
「花帰葬」（作詞と編曲が好き）、
「Makeda ~ Queen of Sheba ~」（濃い異国風が大好き）。

～豊かなる～
2006年　『RAKA』
このアルバムは私と志方さんの出会いだった。アルバムを聴いた後で、友達にただ四つの文字を言った：「豊かだ」と。
確かに間違わないの。これは『RAKA』を形容すれば一番の言葉かもしれない。『RAKA』は豊かの故に、聴いても聴いても飽きることはない。これは本当だよ、ある日、私は『RAKA』を一日中でも聞いていたこともある。（笑）
このCDに及ぶ、一番好きな歌なんかない、言い換えると、全部好きということ。
ここで詳しくいえないけれど、特に幾つの曲を進めよう。
　「金環蝕」（勢いがすごく強い）、
　「春告げ～Raggi di primavera」（イタリア風の歌で幸せの感じがある）、
　「まほろば」（和風、聴くと心地よくなれる）、
　「蒼碧の森」（静か、心を落ち着かせる歌）、
　「祈り～モンラム～」（チベット風、もくしは歌う言葉もチベット語。チベット語…ブックレットにもチベット語…ああ～志方さんがなんて素敵なぁ）、
　「うたかたの花」（なんか、「花帰葬」と同じ感覚があるね）、
　「晴れすぎた空の下で」（民謡風の歌、ここで大讃！バイオリンなどの編曲が聴くとすごい！）、
　「AVE MARIA」（F. Schubertの名曲。余計なこともう言わない）、
　「謳う丘 -EXEC_HARVESTASYA/.-」（やがて、ゲームに使われた自造語も登場した。そして、これはこれは、150もの音軌が使われて、上手に混ぜ出した歌だよ！ほら、よく見ろうよ、150もの音軌、150！ある非凡の勢いがここから生まれだしたの！）
さすが志方さんだけあって、『RAKA』を形容すれば「豊か」しかないのね。
豊かなる。うん、豊かなる。

～震撼なる～
2006年並びに2007年　PS2ゲーム『アルトネリコ』主題歌等
ゲームを遊ぶのを逃してはかまわないが、ゲームの四つ枚のCDを聞かなければ非常に残念なことです。せめて志方さんの参加する作品だけを聴けばいいの（そして私はこんな人たちの典型の一人）。
ここで、ぜひ言うべきの二つ：

The first rain in this winter fell this morning. Today would be less than 10 centigrade, even though it was morn warmer yesterday. I heard it in the weather report.
It was true that today turned colder. I felt the wind flowed; I felt the wind last time, however, was long time ago. I felt that I was been wrapping in the cold wind, and I saw white breath from my mouth.
This morning, I was going back from lab, the view of the road’s the other side went into sight. Under the gray sky, in the gray rain, the road looked had a thicker gray on it. The trees of its left were green, but the opposite ones were golden. That was very beautiful. Especially the trees in the right side, and I thought I liked them as soon as I saw them.
Why not take a photo at the view? I thought, and I did it, therefore.
In which my home is, snow maybe fall soon…
Since I went into college, I have been used to the snow-lack winter. In real, I think that “snow” is another saying of “winter.” Nevertheless, sometimes the snow-lack winter has the same wonder. Today, when my last snow-lack winter came, I got my first memory of it.
Different from the winter that I have been accustomed to, the “unusual” winter has its own flavor. That is what I got after these years of college life.
The rain stopped at four this afternoon. I went out and took a deep breath; I know that winter is my last snow-lack winter. I will say Bye to such winter in next year. Ah, how I feel happy about it!
It certainly should be snow in winter – no matter how snow-lack winter is wonderful. I think so, you see.

朝から、この冬に最初の雨が降ってきた。昨日はまだ何十か摂氏だったのに、今日の気温はせいぜい8摂氏だけだと、天気予報が言った。
やはり寒かったね。長く感じていない風も吹き出したし、体中は初冬の寒さに包み込まれたかのようだった。ちょっぴりその寒い空気を吸って吐き出せば、白い吐息を見られた。
午前、実験室から戻っていた時、ふと向こうの道を見えた――灰色の空の下、灰色の雨の中、より深くした灰色の道だった。左側の木々は濃く碧の色の反面、右側の木々は濃く金色だった。とても美しかった。特に右側の金色の木々、わたしは見るなりそれを恋しくなった。
私は、さっさと写真を撮ろうと思って、一枚の記念を残した。
家にもうすぐ、雪が降るのだろう…
大学に入ってから、ここの雪の無い冬には、私はもう慣れた。本気に言えば、冬は雪そのものの言い換えだと見なしている。でも、偶には雪の無い冬なども同じく素敵。そして今日、私の最後の雪無き冬が訪れる時に、最初の記念を残していた。
私の知った普通の冬と違う、「普通じゃない冬」もそれなりの味わいが持っている。これはね、何年後の私がしみじみと分かった。
けれども、午後四時、雨が止んだ。部屋から出ると、外の冷たい空気を深呼吸し、来年はこんな冬にサヨナラと言うのを思い出し、なんとなく、心に歓びがいっぱい。
どんな特別な味わいがあっても、冬に雪が無ければだめ。というものだね！

Every animation fan must has known that this year’s SaiMoe(The Cutest) award belonged to Rika Furute, a little girl from the animation “ひぐらしのなく頃に(When Cicadas Cry).” Like what I thought, in most people’s mind, Rika is the cutest character!
Now back to me, when I thought about “what shall I draw next?” after I finished my picture book “petit fours” and Halloween theme, Rika went to my mind. “Well, let me draw a cosplay first!”
I think only Rika and Rena, who are the characters in “ひぐらしのなく頃に,” so I only drew them, and I made this picture this afternoon.
However, now at college I have not a scanner. I had to photo this picture with my digital camera, and then got it to a piece of wallpaper. Although I did not any pose-process (do I mean it using a biology word?) with the picture, I think it still looks lovely!
Well, say about my winter holiday. My girls (which I processed with Photoshop) will come to their second anniversary then. Of course, I should do some draws for it.
That muse is another busy winter holiday.

ファンたちはきっと分かってしまったのね。今度テレビアニメ「ひぐらしのなく頃に」より、古手梨花ちゃんが最終勝ちだった！私の思った通り、やはり梨花ちゃんのこと、大数の人の心には一番もえもえのキャラだね。
それで私、前の絵本「petit fours」やハロウィンのテーマを完成した後で、「ああ～これからは何を描こうかな…」と思っていてた時、梨花ちゃんは頭に浮かび込んでいた。「では、まず一枚のコスプレを描こう！」
「ひぐらし」に、私の萌えるキャラはたた梨花とレナ二人だけで、彼女たちだけを描いてきた。で、今日の午後にこれを出来上がった。
今学校で、スキャナーも持っていないし。カメラで先に撮ることになって、すぐに壁紙にした。まあ、パソコンの後期加工（生物学語彙？）がなくても、絵全体を見ればやはり可愛いね！
ということで、冬休みになれば、私の絵（PS絵画）はその二周年記念を迎え、もちろん私は、何かをしなければ…
だから、この冬休みはきっと、忙しいに間違いないね。

Some days ago (Nov. 23), I felt my throat pained and as I know, it might be a pre-symptom of cold. Oh, NO! I can’t get cold in such time! Therefore, I have to take any medicine. I remember that last time when I took medicine (amoxicillin) was in last year, Dec. 16. Maybe everyone would take cold at the period. Anyway, I took 3-day’s amoxicillin and my throat did not pain any more, and all my cold-symptom went. In short, thanks to amoxicillin, now I’m fit.
Here I have some words. DO NOT use any antibiotic in usual, for it maybe make a big problem finally. In other words, they might have got to zero-effect, when you would need them to help you. If you get my words, you can take antibiotics safely.

先日（23日）。目が覚めた時、喉がちょっと痛かったと感じてきた。私の知る限り、これが風邪の前兆かもしれない。嫌なんだ、こんな時に風邪はだめ。だから、早めに薬をせざるを得なかった。思えば私は前回抗生物質（Amoxicillin）をしたのは去年のこの頃だね、12月16日だった。やはりこの頃には風邪引き易いだね。とにかく薬を使った後から、喉はもう痛くなくなって、風邪気味ではなくなった。短く言うと、Amoxicillinが役立つのお陰で、私は今、とても元気でいる。
ここで、本当の一言がある。普段は抗生物質などを使わないほうがいい。こんなものを使いすぎれば大変なことなるかもしれないから。つまり、使いすぎると、あなたの体は確かに抗生物質の役立ちを欲しくなれる時、これらの物質は既に無効化される恐れがあるということ。この点を覚えていてね。それ以上あなたは抗生物質を安全に使えるから。

I finally finished all the input of my picture book “petit fours.” The mini-story has the same name with a music album, which composed by Akiko Shikata, in it I also included my own images. In fact, I wanted to write a ghost story at first, but I am not good at such type. That time I tried to write little and I found I made it into a fairy tale. As a lolicon, I want to know whether my fitful story type is fairy tale. Well, let me do it well! And then, I happened to listen that Akiko Shikata’s music album; and the album’s track list made me surprised! They were so like my ideas! So that, the former picture book was born!
I took five days to write the raw story, and took some days for the picture design, then from October 15th to November 13th, I drew the pictures, till tonight I input and translated the story, and everything ended. Here the only remained thing is, to get my pictures into CGs.

Now I am drawing the theme of Halloween. I think black cats are necessary. So this morning I drew three girls who wearing cat-ears. As a result, I felt they were so MOE(cute)! Well, that is strange. I mean, I did not like cat-ears before. Of its opposite, I came to like the cat-ears!
A pair of cat-ears and a long slender tail, these are so MoeMoe~ !

この夜、私はやっと「petit fours」という絵本を書き終わりました。この小さな物語りは志方あきこさんの同名音楽アルバムをもとにして、私自分の想像をこめて、書き上がったものです。実は元々、私は一つの怖い物語を書くつもりだったが、やっぱり私はそんなものができないのですね。ちょっと書いてみた結果、ある童話そのもの見たいものになりました。ロリコンの私のできるものはどうせ童話ぐらいですね。まあ、それなら、その童話をちゃんと書きましょう！そして、その時、志方あきこさんのそのアルバムを聞きました。驚いたことに、そのアルバム曲目は私のアイディアとそっくり似ていました。ですから、さっき言った絵本がこうして誕生しました。
5日中に物語を書いて、また何時かをかかって絵のデザインをして、10月15日から11月13日まで全ての絵を描きあがって、今日の夜まで物語の輸入と英語バージョンを出来上がって、そして全てのしことが終わりました。こうして残しているのは、私の絵の原稿をCGにすることです。

今、わたしは前に描きたかったハロウィンのテーマを描いています。で、ハロウィンに黒猫が必要だろうと思って、3人の猫耳を描きました。その結果は、ちょ～う萌えるなのです:p！おかしいですわ、元々私は猫耳があんまり好きじゃなかったですの。そんな昔と正反対、わたしは猫耳をすっかり好きになりました！
猫耳と長細い尻尾、萌える萌えるのです！

There were some faults in this week, and all of them were about my experiments: my group members and I wanted extract chloroplasts.
That experiment was so tedious. We grinded 100g leaves with the terrible-smelled grind-liquid that included mercaptoethanol. After that, we did almost ten times centrifuge. When we have done our last centrifuge, I got out the centrifugal tube. We saw from outside.
There was nothing, no sediment but only the green-stained tube wall.
“Oh, nothing, that’s failed.”
We took half of morning and whole afternoon, but we got nothing.
Well, how can we finish out experiment report?

Now, see some good thing.
Last week I have done my experiment of Cell Engineering. For some technique support, we only did the part of plant culture. We every group used 40 conical beakers, divided into 8 groups for fill each group with one medium. In the eight kinds of medium, one we got to culture rapeseeds, the others we used for tobacco culturing. After one week, they sprouted out. Except few mold infected ones, I took some beautiful photographs. We were lucky, for many groups’ got almost fully mold infected. :eye:

Another thing I must mark here.
On Wednesday, I finished my drawing of the mini-story that I mentioned before. That was only a raw draft. I plan to get them into a series picture book, by mixture with backgrounds and caption texts. Well, my story is still Japanese only; I don’t know when I can translate them into English. However, I really think I am not good at colorful writing, so that even I myself don’t think this story will be colorful – never of Japanese version or English Version. What I did was only narrating.
